This policy describes how Open Advisory LLC ("OpenAdvisory," "we") collects and uses information through the website openadvisory.ai and, once live, the OpenAdvisory deal platform.

Information we collect

• Contact information you give us — name, email address, company, and the content of messages you send to our contact addresses.
• Business contact information we collect ourselves — when we represent a business for sale, we research and compile a list of prospective buyers (companies and investment firms) whose stated acquisition criteria may fit that business, together with the business contact details of the relevant people there. We gather this from our own research and existing relationships. We do not buy, rent, or scrape contact lists.
• Deal-process information — for participants in an engagement: documents, correspondence, and records exchanged through the platform's secure portal, under the confidentiality terms of that engagement.
• Technical information — standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) used for security and operations.

How we use it

• To respond to inquiries and operate deal processes participants have joined.
• To contact prospective buyers about a specific business we represent. This is outreach you did not ask for. We send a short, anonymized description of the opportunity to people we believe may want to acquire that kind of business. Every such message identifies us and includes a one-click opt-out.
• To send deal correspondence — NDAs, process letters, information requests, and updates — to participants who have joined a process.
• To secure and operate the platform, including maintaining audit records of actions taken in a deal process.

Opting out

Every message we send carries a working opt-out. Opting out is honored immediately and recorded on a permanent suppression list that is checked before every send — you will not hear from us again on any deal. You can also opt out at any time by emailing [email protected].

What we don't do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use deal-process information for advertising.
• We do not buy, rent, or scrape contact lists.
• We do not reuse a deal's buyer list for any other purpose, and we do not send recurring marketing campaigns or newsletters.

Sharing

Information is shared only as a deal process requires (for example, materials a seller directs us to share with a specific buyer under NDA), with service providers that host our infrastructure (for example, cloud and email providers), or when the law requires it.

Retention and security

Deal records are retained as engagement terms and applicable regulation require. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with keys under managed custody.
